Children and Young People: â€‹

  • I have experience delivering evidence-based, low-intensity psychological interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and emotional difficulties.

  • I have experience conducting comprehensive assessments to understand the child or young person’s emotional, psychological, and social needs and to identify presenting difficulties, contributing factors, strengths, and protective factors. 

  • I assess levels of risk, including self-harm, suicidal ideation, and safeguarding concerns, and determine appropriate risk management plans.

  • I provide structured interventions informed by CBT principles, including guided self-help and psychoeducation.

Adults: 

  • I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space for adults to explore emotional difficulties and life challenges

  • I support individuals to make sense of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, increasing self-awareness and insight

  • I help adults develop healthier coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, low mood, and emotional distress

  • I work collaboratively to identify goals and support positive change at a pace led by the client

  • I support adults to process past experiences, loss, trauma, and relationship difficulties

  • I promote emotional regulation, resilience, and self-compassion

  • I aim to empower adults to build confidence, autonomy, and improved decision-making

  • I recognise and work with diversity, identity, and individual lived experience in a respectful and inclusive way

  • I will monitor risk and provide appropriate support, signposting, or referrals when additional input is needed.

Neurodiversity: 

  • I have experience working with neurodiversity. I have delivered a mental health and emotional regulation programme that is especially helpful for neurodivergent children and young people, including those with autism and ADHD.

  • I help children and young people understand big emotions and why they can feel sudden, intense, or overwhelming.

  • I explain how emotions can rise quickly and feel hard to control.

  • I support neurodivergent individuals to recognise emotional triggers, early warning signs, and escalation points.

  • I focuses on developing practical emotional regulation strategies, such as grounding, coping tools, and problem-solving skills.

Supporting Parents/Carers: â€‹

  • I work collaboratively with parents and carers to support their understanding of their child or young person’s emotional and mental health needs

  • I provide psychoeducation to help parents understand anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation, and behavioural responses.

  • Support parents to develop practical strategies to reinforce interventions at home and promote consistency.

  • Encourage reflective parenting approaches, validating parental experiences while building confidence and skills.

  • Support parents to recognise emotional triggers, early warning signs, and escalation, including risk awareness.​
